home. We combine water and woods to offer year-round outdoor enjoyment. The Rushes Resort is conveniently located on the shores of Kangaroo Lake in the
Town of Jacksonport, just 11⁄2 miles off Highway 57. While our mailing address is Baileys Harbor, we're ideally situated near the Lake Michigan shoreline and just a
short drive from Sister Bay and downtown Baileys Harbor.
Our Welcome Center with the swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and exercise room are open from 8:00AM to 8:00PM daily. The Welcome Center also has food, refreshments, and clothing items available for purchase, movie rentals and activities. Our staff will be available to assist you with checking in and out of the resort and with any other questions you may have during these hours. Our resort features 48 cabin-style townhouses that offer 1,400 sq. feet of well-appointed living space. The cabin style townhouses at the Rushes Resort offer couples and families a perfect blend of comfort, space, and scenic beauty in the heart of Door County. Unlike a cramped hotel room, these spacious two or three-bedroom, two-bath condos feature fully equipped kitchens, cozy living areas with fireplaces, private patio and balconies overlooking the stunning wilderness. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning coffee with a view or gathering for a home-cooked meal after a day of adventure, the thoughtfully designed interiors provide all the comforts of home with the added indulgence of a resort-style getaway.
Beyond the elegant interiors, staying at the Rushes means access to an impressive array of amenities that enhance your vacation experience year-round. The Rushes Wilderness Preserve surrounds our property and has one hundred acres of woodland trails perfect for bird watching, walking, jogging, cross- county skiing, and snowshoeing! With resort staff handling all maintenance and cleaning, you get to focus on what matters most—creating lasting memories in a luxurious, hassle-free setting.
